So it's October, one of my favorite months of the year for various reasons! Halloween is my favorite holiday because it's so easy to enjoy with family, friends or just alone. I especially love it dressing up and the whole spirits return and what not >.<
I am so happy with the results so far, I wish progression was faster but making mesh takes time and effort and time.
What we're looking at is the first floor clothes area, it is mixed mesh and prims, haven't found much use for sculpts yet...
Also changing up the blog layout for a more gallery-type appeal....
And yeah.
Because of the trouble migrating to Direct Delivery on Marketplace I decided to start an inworld store again.
We're definitely not a big store so we rented from Azure Islands.
I debated building a mesh building out of world and then bringing it in but instead I just purchased Dr. Zimberlands Mesh Wall Kit.
I start with a base not really following the workflow suggested... I begin by placing the floor, the corners, the walls. So far so good, not yet complete, just moving on to texturing and aligning.

Can't wait until it's finished!
Now available rigged mesh swimsuit, very cute. This is my favorite one the blue Ocean of Stars. In second life summer is year round, in fact it can be any season that you want whenever you want!
These are now available on the marketplace.
As part of our Pastel Goth collection these Leggings are now available on the Marketplace!
Here is just a quick summary of what I use to create in SecondLife. There are a number of programs out there, both free and costly, designed to help SecondLifers build and create. Here are some of the programs I use:
AvPainter: This was one of my first purchases in 2008. It allows you to draw right on top the SL Avatar and export the drawings. You can even use layers and it automatically exports in 3 different formats. It does cost around $20 but so far has been worth it. Download the demo here.
ZBrush: From pixologic, this is where I began sculpties thanks to Shiny-life (which is sadly no longer available). However, this program is VERY pricey. Click here to visit Pixologic.com.
Blender: Blender is free, the UI is a little hard to learn, but there are many video tutorial on how to use it specifically for Second Life. Blender can be downloaded for free here.
Tatara: From the Kanae Project Tatara is an awesome program you don't have to install. It allows you to edit a sculpty or mesh in a couple different modes, texture it and export it. It is available for a little over $20. There are many tutorials and a trial product can be downloaded here.
Photoshop: Also can be pricey, but it is essential for me. I use it to create textures, edit photos and sketch out ideas. The extended versions can even work with 3d too. However, if its out of budget theres always
GIMP: This program operates similar to photoshop with working layers, but is available for free.
That's kind of the overview, once in a while I'll try small programs here and there to see how it can make my Second Life easier because I can be absolutely lazy!

Pastel Goth Sad Heart Night Sweater |
They are both 100% Mesh. I purchased the meshes from MeshIT, who makes many wonderful mesh tools for creators who can't quite get it to work, and it's all very affordable.

I'm waiting for Linden Labs to fix the listings problem, which I do appreciate. They told me that it happens to people who waited to migrate and as much as I appreciate the response, I can't help but think hey I have a 1st life, I didn't exactly choose to wait. Sigh. Anyways, I've been working on some new clothes.
I do like mesh clothing, I have not begun to learn how to make rigged mesh clothing, so I appreciate the amount of premade items available. This is a small series of items in the name of Pastel Goth fashion.

So I know there has been a lot of bitching about Direct Delivery and the migration and maybe I'm behind and I don't know how well everything is supposed to run on Windows 8--but anyways. To add to the bitching it has been very frustrating moving my items over. I'm listing a couple items at a time.
I send a folder or two through the merchants outbox, and when it does send it I try to manually associate the object with the existing listing and it says 'Successfully Updated' when it isn't. It's still red and unavailable. So when I end a folder that exactly matches the object name it keeps giving me an error when I try to activate it.
So in the end I have only two listings back up that I had to relist, losing any reviews and ratings. I will not be happy doing this for every item. I get what they're trying to do but I'm not sure why it's so hard...
Shayne will not be happy with it either, her patience is way shorter than mine!

Hello There!
Wow, Shayne and I are really, really behind! SL has been eliminating the magic boxes, Mesh grows ever present and well we haven't updated from sculpty...
However, I am happily finding the time to migrate our magic boxes and update our products which will all be either eliminated from inventory, donated as freebies or updated and relisted!
So I am running the lastest viewer on a new computer which I love and I hope to re-release our products soon!
